We had a very busy summer, with the horses performing on all 3 national TV channels. Our most exciting job was supplying the horses for Shortland St. A great opportunity to meet some of the stars we watch every weeknight! Skye (Tui Hills Irish Skye) played the part of Point Taken, Blaze (World Famous) played the part of Butterfly Kisses, and Ra (Thunderbird) was a featured extra. It was exciting for us because it was the first time all the horses onset were purpose bred or purchased for onset and live display work. It was also the first time the second generation had performed without the additional support of the veterans. They were calm quiet and confident around the cast and crew, and we received very good feedback

Kindra
Winter 2009 We welcome some new additions to the team, including our exceptional black horse Kindra. Now Kindra came to us through a wonderful lady called Kelly May who drove past Kindra abandoned and neglected and actually had the amazing courage to approach the horse, see something in her, and do something about it. Kelly did some homework and eventually was allowed to buy Kindra and take her home. It took her several times, and much persuasion to go and see her as we have always concentrated on breeding and training grey/white horses. To make a long story short, she is very willing and trainable after a rocky start, and is now set to perform this season alongside our veterans Cruise and Murph. The photograph above shows Kindra at her first photo shoot for Eye Magazine. We are very proud of how far she has come, and look forward to seeing her perform. |
